-
During the regular meeting, the board held one recognition. Mrs. Arlene Crabtree, Engineering teacher at Woodford County High School, was recognized for the achievements of the WCHS engineering program. The Kentucky Engineering Technology Education Association (KETEA) awarded a scholarship to Faith Ann Davis, WCHS Senior, and presented WCHS with the KETEA High School Program of the Year award! Thank you for your heart, leadership, and expertise, Mrs. Crabtree.
Mr. Tyler Reed, Principal of Woodford County High School, shared the “Big Rocks,” or main areas of focus, for WCHS this school year. Academics, culture, and accountability are the driving forces of success for the high school. The Big Rocks are PLC Refinement, Guiding Coalition, and Student Voice. These areas of focus are in full swing this semester and already having positive benefits. Mr. Reed was also thrilled to share about the blue rating WCHS earned in the Kentucky Summative Assessment testing. Blue is the highest rating a school can achieve. Way to go, Yellow Jackets!
