Traffic Safety Reminders and New School Bus Safety Law in Effect in Kentucky 🚌

Please see below for important safety reminders from Chief Steve Sutton, WCPS Chief of Police.

⏰ For arrival and dismissal, please do not use the access road that connects School House Road and Tyrone Pike as a cut through unless you are dropping off or picking up a WCHS student. 
🚙 When in car rider lines and dropping off or picking up students, please pull all the way forward and please close any gaps between you and the vehicle in front you. 
🚫 Do not park or block Tyrone Pike at the WCHS access road.
➡️ When exiting the WCHS access road onto Tyrone Pike, it is a right turn only. 
🚔 Please use your turn signal when approaching officers directing traffic as it helps them keep traffic moving more efficient and safely.
👀 Be extra alert for pedestrians. 
🚌 Watch the roads and slow down; school buses are back on their routes, so stay vigilant around stop arms and crosswalks.
